TaskExport ("Service", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. By using TaskExport, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

Key Privacy Commitment: We do NOT store your Asana project data or generated PDFs. Your tasks, project details, and custom fields are fetched strictly on-demand, processed in our server's memory (RAM) to generate your PDF, and immediately permanently discarded.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, and Asana User ID (received securely via Asana OAuth authentication).
  • Communications: Any correspondence you send to our support team.

2.2 Information from Third Parties

  • Asana: When you authorize our Service, we receive a temporary access token that allows us to read your workspace data solely for the purpose of PDF generation.
  • Lemon Squeezy: Payment confirmation and subscription status (Active/Canceled).

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect or Store

Because of our privacy-first architecture, we strictly avoid collecting the following:

  • Your Asana Data: We do not store your tasks, projects, comments, or client data in any database.
  • Generated Files: We do not store the PDF files you generate. They are streamed directly to your browser and exist only on your local device.
  • Payment Details: Credit card numbers or complete payment card details never touch our servers (they are handled exclusively by Lemon Squeezy).

3. Third-Party Service Providers (Sub-processors)

We do not sell your personal information. We only share the absolute minimum data required to operate the Service with trusted infrastructure providers:

4. Data Security

We implement robust, enterprise-grade security measures to protect your connection:

  • Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted to and from our Service uses modern TLS encryption (HTTPS).
  • In-Memory Processing: Asana access tokens and project data are stored only in volatile memory (RAM) during your active session.
  • Read-Only Scopes: We request only the minimum required Asana permissions. We cannot modify, delete, or overwrite any data in your Asana workspace.

5. Data Retention

We believe the best way to secure data is not to have it at all:

  • PDF Exports: Retained for 0 days. Files are generated on-the-fly and immediately discarded from our servers.
  • Account Data: Retained only while your account is active.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We strictly use essential cookies required for the Service to function properly (such as session cookies to keep you logged in). We do not use third-party advertising cookies, Google Analytics, or any cross-site tracking pixels.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Service is a B2B tool not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your Rights

You have full control over your account. Because we use OAuth 2.0, you can instantly revoke our access to your Asana account at any time directly from your Asana Security Settings. You may also contact us to request the complete deletion of your profile (Email and Asana ID) from our system.
