Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and TaskExport ("Service", "we", "us", or "our"), governing your access to and use of the TaskExport application.
By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
2. Description of Service
TaskExport is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) application that enables users to generate beautifully branded PDF documents directly from their Asana projects and tasks.
2.1 How It Works (Zero-Retention Architecture)
Unlike traditional reporting tools, TaskExport operates as a pass-through generator:
- You authorize the Service to access your Asana account via secure OAuth 2.0.
- When you request an export, we fetch the relevant data from Asana in real-time into our server's volatile memory.
- We generate a PDF document and stream it directly to your browser.
- The source Asana data and the generated PDF are immediately permanently discarded from our servers. We do not store your reports.
3. Merchant of Record & Payments
By purchasing a pass or subscription, you are directly transacting with Lemon Squeezy. They securely handle all payment processing, invoicing, global sales tax (VAT/GST) compliance, and billing inquiries. TaskExport does not collect or store your credit card numbers or billing details.
4. Subscription Plans and Features
We offer different tiers of access to suit your workflow. Because we do not store your files, our retention policy is strictly 0 days across all tiers.

5. Refund and Cancellation Policy
Because TaskExport incurs immediate infrastructure and API costs for every PDF generated, our refund policy is strictly defined:
- Free Trial: We provide your first export 100% free. You must use this trial to evaluate the formatting, custom fields, and quality of the Service before making a financial commitment.
- No Refunds: Due to the digital nature of the Service and the availability of the free trial, all payments are final and non-refundable. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial months or unused time on a 24-Hour Pass.
- Cancellations: You may cancel your Monthly Subscription at any time via your Lemon Squeezy dashboard or account settings. You will retain premium access until the end of your current paid billing cycle.
6. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You agree NOT to:
- Access or export data from Asana workspaces you are not legally authorized to access.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to generate unreasonably high volumes of PDFs (API abuse/DDoS).
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to bypass any security or rate-limiting features.
- Share your account credentials or attempt to resell the Service.
7. Third-Party Services (Asana Dependency)
The Service is heavily reliant on the official Asana API. TaskExport is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Asana, Inc.
We are not responsible for Asana's service availability. If Asana experiences downtime, changes their API architecture, or rate-limits your specific workspace, TaskExport's functionality may be temporarily degraded or broken. We are not liable for any delays in your workflow caused by third-party outages.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its code, design, and UI, is the exclusive property of TaskExport. You retain all rights to your Asana data, your company logos, and the resulting PDF files you download. You grant us a temporary, in-memory license to process your data solely for the purpose of generating your requested document.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TASKEXPORT OR ITS FOUNDER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR CLIENT CONTRACTS, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 3 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
11. Termination
You may terminate this agreement at any time by revoking TaskExport's access directly within your Asana Account Security Settings and canceling your subscription via Lemon Squeezy. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access immediately if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or are abusing the Asana API.
